Biography
Justin Burt practises in commercial real estate law, with a focus on commercial leasing, commercial acquisitions and dispositions, and real estate-based financing.
Justin has acted for both landlords and tenants concerning retail, office, industrial and bare land premises. He has extensive experience representing vendors and purchasers on the acquisition and disposition of office towers, retail projects, industrial projects, and residential properties during all stages of real estate transactions. He also acts for borrowers and commercial lending institutions regarding loans secured by real estate or by personal property.
Justin returned to us after having spent a number of years working at one of Canada's largest urban municipalities, where he worked on numerous transactions for acquiring and disposing of real estate for municipal purposes. This experience also enables Justin to provide legal advice on municipal matters as well as expropriations. Prior to his in-house experience, Justin was an articling student and associate with us.
