Biography
Madeleine Hodgson is an associate in our intellectual property group, assisting clients with creating, managing, and enforcing intellectual property assets in Canada and around the world.
Madeleine advises clients on patent, trademark, copyright, industrial design, advertising, licensing, litigation, research and development, collaboration, and transactional matters. She assists clients in British Columbia Superior Court and Federal Court on trademark, copyright, patent and confidential information disputes. She prepares and prosecutes domestic trademark and industrial design applications and manages international intellectual property trademark portfolios. She works with clients to develop intellectual property licence and assignment agreements, confidentiality agreements, and development and collaboration agreements.
Madeleine was called to the bar in 2014 after clerking at the British Columbia Court of Appeal. During her undergraduate degree in physics, she was president of the Undergraduate Physics Society, English editor of the Canadian Undergraduate Physics Journal and published research in the field of medical magnetic resonance imaging.
