Mauricio Montealegre is a senior associate at the Norton Rose Fulbright Bogota´s office. He is a graduate of the School of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and is specialist in labour law from the same university. Additionally, Mr. Montealegre is a trained conciliator from the chambers of commerce of Cali.

Mr. Montealegre has more than eight years of experience in labour law, where he advised Colombian and foreign companies in labour matters. As relevant experience, he has advised clients in compensation schemes, contract negotiations for directive / management personnel, drafting recruitment documents, structuring and implementation of voluntary retirement plans, structuring and implementation of audit and due diligence process, labour effects derived from commercial transactions of companies in Colombia, disciplinary investigations, policies and any regulation applicable in Colombia, and in general all the subjects that can be presented to a Colombian company regarding labour matters.

Before joining Norton Rose Fulbright, Mr. Montealegre worked as an associate in one of the largest legal firms in Colombia and as legal counsel for the legal office of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali.

His experience in these companies has been fundamental to become an internal and external legal advisor, due to the knowledge of needs to companies in labour and corporate matters.
