Biography
Danielle Maksimow is partner in our capital markets group. She represents and advises borrowers, banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions on a wide variety of financial matters with an emphasis on US private placements of debt to institutional investors and national and cross-border syndicated and bilateral debt financing transactions, including asset-based lending transactions, project finance, acquisition financings, distressed lending transactions and complex intercreditor and priority issues. Danielle also has experience advising financial institutions on debt restructurings and frequently acts as agent counsel to international law firms regarding Canadian banking matters.
During law school, Danielle completed work terms at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Paris in the area of international commercial arbitration, at the Ontario Securities Commission dealing with registrant regulation and at the BC Ministry of Attorney General’s Legal Services Office.
