Biography
Tracey Kernahan supports lawyers in our business law group with research, training and information needs and assists in our client communication program. She has particular experience in securities law, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions, both in Canada and internationally.
Following her call to the Ontario Bar, Tracey practised corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions law as an associate, then a partner of another major law firm in Toronto. She was seconded to the Ontario Securities Commission in 1985-1986, where she acted as a solicitor in the Corporate Finance Branch and an investigation counsel in the Enforcement Branch. From 1992 to 2000, Tracey practised law in Europe, first as a corporate finance lawyer for a large international law firm in its offices in Budapest, Hungary, and London, UK, and subsequently as a professional support lawyer in the corporate finance group of Clifford Chance in London, UK. In this latter role, she participated in knowledge management and training initiatives.
