Shiv Daddar is a data protection lawyer based in London. He works as part of the data protection, privacy and technology team who advises on UK, EU and Middle East data protection and AI compliance requirements.

Shiv advises on all aspects of data protection strategy and the full life cycle of data protection compliance projects, including regulatory requirements, data governance, privacy notices and consents, data mapping, privacy impact assessments, data sharing and international transfers, personal data breach response, cookies compliance and marketing requirement, training and the data protection elements of corporate and commercial transactions.

Shiv also advises on commercial contracts, consumer law agreements and requirements, large-scale outsourcings and intellectual property matters for clients across a number of industry sectors.

Shiv studied Law at the London School of Economics and has completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice at the University of Oxford. He has also completed a client secondment to AIG where he advised on a number of commercial agreements. 

Shiv has been recognised as a key lawyer for data protection, privacy and cybersecurity by the Legal 500 UK (2024), and as a ‘Stand-out Lawyer’ by Thomson Reuters (2025). Shiv has also been recognised by Best Lawyers UK as a ‘One to Watch’ since 2023.
