Norton Rose Fulbright names Nicolas Labrecque its Montréal Office Managing Partner

Toronto, May 15, 2024 – Norton Rose Fulbright Canada names Nicolas Labrecque, a leading M&A, corporate and commercial lawyer, the new Montréal Office Managing Partner.

Nicolas has been with Norton Rose Fulbright for 24 years, starting as a law student in 2000. He has been an instrumental member of our team, serving as Chair of the Montréal Business Law Group for nearly six years. In his new role, Nicolas will be joining the firm’s management committee.
Nicolas is highly experienced in complex transactions, providing innovative solutions to clients in various industries, including commercial real estate, manufacturing, transportation services, retail, and renewable energy. He has supported companies with acquisitions in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
Nicolas is avidly involved in his community, serving 12 years on the board and as a vice president at the Centre François-Michelle for children with developmental needs. Nicolas is also involved with Aéro Montréal and was on the jury for the 2023 Gilles-Demers Awards, recognizing the leadership and excellence of Quebec’s small and medium-sized companies within the province’s aerospace cluster.
His skill, business acumen and ability to navigate some of the toughest transactions have continually been recognized by various legal awards. This year, he was featured among an elite group of leaders in the Finance and M&A Lexpert Special Edition 2024 as one of the top-performing finance and M&A lawyers.
Nicolas will take over from Luc Morin, who was appointed to the Superior Court of Quebec.
