Mark Robertson selected to Crain’s New York Business’s Notable LGBTQIA+ Leaders

Mark Robertson, New York Co-Head of Litigation and Disputes, has been named to Crain's New York Business's 2023 list of Notable LGBTQIA+ Leaders.

This honor highlights LGBTQIA+ professionals who are driving diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) across New York City's business landscape through their "career accomplishments, their mentorship of others and their involvement in community and industry organizations."

Robertson has played a key role in the implementation of many Norton Rose Fulbright DEI initiatives. As Co-Chair of the firm's Pride Network, he has led efforts to contribute to the development of an inclusive workplace environment such as recruiting LGBTQIA+ law students, tracking retention of LGBTQIA+ lawyers and encouraging the use of pronouns in signature lines.

An experienced trial lawyer, Robertson is dedicated to advocating for equity and advancement and has achieved significant success in his pro bono representation of LGBTQIA+ community members, such as securing the right for Presbyterian ministers nationwide to marry their same-sex partners while maintaining their roles as ordained clergy.

Robertson serves on the New York City Bar Association's LGBTQ Rights Committee and chaired the Art Leonard Award and Pride Reception for the City Bar. He serves on the Major Donor Committee for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) in Greater New York. He previously co-chaired the Greater New York Steering Committee for HRC.

To reach its final list, Crain's New York consulted with trusted sources in the LGBTQIA+ and general New York City business communities. All of its honorees were chosen for their career accomplishments as well as their broader community involvement.
