Global | Press release - Recognition | July 2024
Norton Rose Fulbright’s private wealth, trusts and estates teams have received top department rankings in this year’s Chambers High Net Worth Guide. The Canadian team has again been ranked Band 1 in Private Wealth Law, and the US is ranked as Band 2 in Texas.
The guide also recognized individual lawyers, including Canadian partners Laura West (Band 2) and Kirsten Jenkins (Band 3), Texas partner Celeste Lawton (Band 2) and of counsel Joseph Sleeth (Band 2) and Luxembourg partner Florent Trouiller (Band 2).
The Chambers High Net Worth Guide focuses on the private wealth market and its high-profile clientele. Results are based on independent research done by the publication. The guide is an internationally curated publication that ranks lawyers and law firms operating in the private wealth sector. Band 1 is the highest attainable ranking available collectively for a law firm.
Laura and Kirsten focus their practices on estate planning, related trust structures, business succession, governance and related matters. Their advice is often sought by families across Canada who control or have significant ownership interests in multi-generational legacy assets, including large privately held or public companies.
Celeste and Joseph are part of the firm’s long-standing private wealth, trusts and estates team. Their practices focus on estate planning and estate administration for wealthy families and individuals, and often advise on wealth transfer planning with emphasis on the transfer of family or privately held businesses.
Florent has extensive experience advising on private equity and real estate investments, as well as the structuring of regulated and unregulated investment funds. He also has significant experience assisting clients with all tax aspects of banking, capital market and securitization transactions.
