Norton Rose Fulbright advises Brookfield on acquisition of Sunovis

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Brookfield Renewable on its acquisition of Sunovis, a solar project design and development company.
Brookfield Renewable operates one of the world’s largest, pure-play renewable power platforms. Its portfolio consists of hydroelectric, wind, solar and storage facilities in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, and totals approximately 21,000 megawatts of installed capacity and an approximately 36,000-megawatt development pipeline.
Sunovis has successfully developed more than 30 solar projects in Germany and other European countries. With Brookfield’s support, Sunovis expects to significantly accelerate its current development pipeline, which includes approximately 1.7 gigawatts peak of solar projects, including approximately 600 megawatts peak in advanced and mid-stage development.
