Firm recognised for extraordinary contribution at Save the Children’s 2023 Partnership Awards

Global Press release - Recognition May 2023

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has received ‘The Eglantyne Jebb award for extraordinary individual or team contribution in support of a partnership’ at Save the Children UK’s 2023 Partnership Awards.

The award recognises the ‘incredible’ contributions of individuals within the firm - both the core partnership team and those involved in the wider pro bono working group - as well as the lawyers who have provided ‘invaluable’ legal pro bono support across a number of projects.

As part of a strategic partnership with Save the Children, Norton Rose Fulbright has been providing the charity with pro bono legal advice and engaging its own staff in numerous fundraising and volunteering initiatives.

This has included providing pro bono advice to Save the Children on a Zakat policy, which enables Muslim philanthropists to give their Zakat and donate their Sadaqah in a Shari’a-compliant way to the world’s most marginalised children.

The firm has also carried out internal fundraising and volunteering for initiatives including Save the Children’s GREEN Project in Cambodia and Safe Back to School’s Catch Up Clubs.

Farmida Bi CBE, Chair, Europe, Middle East and Asia, commented:

“We highly value our partnership with Save the Children and feel privileged to be able to support its important work, which provides vital help for millions of children around the world.”
