Quebec City partner Charles Taschereau appointed as a judge of the Court of Quebec

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announces that Quebec City litigation partner Charles Taschereau has been appointed justice of the Court of Quebec by the provincial government.

The Court of Quebec hears civil and criminal matters as well as cases involving juvenile offenders.

Charles joined Norton Rose Fulbright in 2001 after a few years in private practice and became partner in 2010.

During his tenure at the firm, his practice focused primarily on construction, engineering and infrastructure law. He represented owners, contractors, engineers, manufacturers and other stakeholders in the construction industry, in a variety of disputes before the courts or arbitration tribunals.

His advice was frequently sought in connection with the drafting of construction contracts and tender documents, in particular with relation to government rules and regulations introduced to ensure integrity in public contracting. 

Charles earned a Bachelor of Common Law from Queen’s University (1999) and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Sherbrooke (1996). He was called to the Quebec Bar in 1998.
