Houston lawyer named Outstanding Texas Tax Lawyer of 2019

The Texas Tax Section of the State Bar of Texas recently named William H. Caudill (Houston) as the Outstanding Texas Tax Lawyer of 2019.
Caudill received the award at the Texas Bar Convention in Austin June 13. The Texas Tax Section said, "Caudill has been one of the Texas' leading tax attorneys for decades. … Bill is an expert in a wide range of tax topics, including partnerships, oil and gas, real estate, and tax-exempt organizations. … He has given significantly of his time to the tax profession."
He has been active in American Bar Association and State Bar of Texas tax activities. In 2016-2017, he chaired the ABA's Tax Section. He also has served as a member of the Council of the ABA Tax Section, the Tax Section's Liaison to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the National Conference of Lawyers and CPAs.
He has chaired the State Bar of Texas Section on Taxation. He also served as chair of the ABA Tax Section's Committee on Partnerships and LLCs. He is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel.
