New York co-partner-in-charge Vincent Dunn has been named a 2022 "Notable Black Leader" by Crain's New York Business.
The publication lauded Dunn for his commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion wherever they are absent. This marks the second year Dunn has made the prestigious list.
Crain's develops the list in an effort to honor those Black individuals "whose professional and communal achievements enhance New York City and the lives of its inhabitants."
"Ultimately, the honorees were picked for their career accomplishments as well as their broader community involvement," the magazine wrote, in introducing this year's list.
As New York co-partner-in-charge, Dunn helps manage the firm's largest US office by the number of lawyers and the second largest by overall headcount. In addition to his successful law practice, his responsibilities include overseeing administrative matters, implementing rules and policy changes, integrating new partners and new associates, coordinating office events, supporting business services and preparing employees for the recent transition back to the office from working remotely.
Dunn has worked on Norton Rose Fulbright's Racial Equity Council over the last two years, particularly helping to develop the Black associate sponsorship program. Being part of its impact, he says, has been an especially meaningful accomplishment.
Seeing the difference in associates' feelings about the firm since becoming part of the program is "night and day," he said. "For a young associate to have an influential member of the firm take an interest in them, that is an extremely positive experience."
Dunn is also a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, the Global Executive Committee and the Partnership Committee. He recently served as co-head of the US corporate finance practice.
