New lateral for Cape Town Employment and Labour team

Our South African practice continues its lateral growth strategy with the hire of Tapiwa Gandidze who will join our Employment and Labour team in Cape Town on 1 July.
Tapiwa is an experienced attorney, notary public and conveyancer with 17 years post-admission experience under her belt. Tapiwa joins from a local boutique practice where she has been managing partner for the last seven years. She is a prominent employment law attorney and has honed her experience across private and public sector clients, non-profit organisations, trade unions and private individuals.
Tapiwa regularly represents clients in litigious matters in fora such as the Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court, the CCMA, Bargaining Councils and in private arbitrations. Other areas of work includes internal investigations and the compilation of investigation reports, as well as prosecuting and chairing disciplinary enquiries.
Tapiwa has acted as a judge of the Labour Court and, in 2021, she was listed as one of the Best Lawyers in South Africa in the Employment Law category, based on peer reviews.
