Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised TotalEnergies Renewables on the restructuring of the financial debt and recapitalization of Yunneng Wind Power Co. Ltd., an affiliate developing the Yunlin offshore wind farm (640W).
Located approximately 10 kilometers offshore in the Taiwan Strait, the Yunlin offshore wind farm, once operational, will comprise 80 wind turbines producing 2.4 terawatt hours (TWh) of renewable electricity per year, enough clean energy to meet the requirements of more than 600,000 households. The project faced significant delays due to technical problems and to the pandemic but is now on track for completion. As it reaches commissioning, this ambitious project, currently standing as one of the largest wind farms in Asia, not only will underscore the commitment to renewable energy in the region but also will mark a significant milestone in the renewable energy landscape.
