Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright advised Lanes & Planes on its $35 million Series B financing round. The financing round was led by US venture capital fund Smash Capital. Existing investors Battery Ventures and DN Capital, among others, also co-invested.
Lanes & Planes is a digital end-to-end solution for business travel that allows customers to fully manage all areas of a business trip from one central platform. The company was founded in 2017 by Dr Veit Blumschein and Daniel Nolte and is based in Munich.
"We are thrilled that with Smash Capital we have been able to attract a strong international VC investor. We want to use the additional resources to intensify our European growth strategy and strengthen our team," says Blumschein.
Lanes & Planes was advised on the financing round by a Norton Rose Fulbright team led by Munich partner Sebastian Frech (lead, corporate / M&A). Frech comments: "Lanes & Planes' Series B financing round shows that investors are still willing to invest in strong founder teams and profitable business models. Significant valuation increases are possible, even in the current market environment."
Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Lanes & Planes on financing rounds and operational matters since its incorporation.
In addition to Sebastian Frech, the Norton Rose Fulbright team consisted of partners Claudia Posluschny (employment, Munich) and Benedikt Gillessen (capital markets, Frankfurt), Counsel Markus Müller (IP/IT, Munich), Special Counsel Dr. Nikolas Smirra (commercial, Munich) and Associates Sebastian Eisenhut, Max Oscar Zeisler and Nils Kruse (all corporate / M&A, Munich).
