Event Details

There has been extensive sector agnostic research recently suggesting that engaging more women at senior and decision making levels can help drive corporate performance. At the same time, research specific to the shipping industry suggests that women are underrepresented and diversity is extremely fragmented by sector.

How do we look to change the narratives and behaviours of those operating in it?

The Norton Rose Fulbright Women in Maritime network is delighted to invite you to join our lively panel discussion, moderated by Niki Alexandrou (Counsel, Norton Rose Fulbright and co-leader of Lean in Network Greece (Athens)), to explore these and other issues of gender diversity in the sector with our esteemed panellists, including:

  • Sarah Kenny OBE (BMT)
  • Katharina Stanzel (Intertanko)
  • Michelle Wiese Bockmann (Lloyds List Intelligence)
  • Anastassia Tcherneva (ABN AMRO Bank)
  • Ian Hampton (Stena Line)

Additionally, we are delighted to have Ondrilla Fernandes, Employment Affairs Advisor at the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), as our keynote speaker. Ondrilla will open our session and provide an overview and summary of the aims and objectives of the ICS’s recently launched Diversity and Inclusion Toolkit for Shipping.
