Other Corporate Governance Codes and associated guidance
In addition to the UK Corporate Governance Code, a number of UK institutions periodically publish and update their own codes, guidance and guidelines, each designed to assist shareholders and investors in assessing the governance of companies, including matters such as board composition and effectiveness, remuneration, accountability and financial reporting. Some of this guidance applies to a particular sub-set of companies (for example, large private companies or investment companies), whilst other guidance applies more generally to listed companies

AIC Code of Corporate Governance
- AIC Code of Corporate Governance for investment companies 2024 – August 2024 (The 2024 AIC Code applies to accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2025, with the exception of new Provision 34. This new provision is applicable for accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026)
