Mei-Land Man is a banking lawyer (advocaat) based in Amsterdam. She has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border (syndicated) structured finance transactions, with a primary focus on project finance, (structured) asset finance and trade and commodity finance. In asset finance transactions she acted for lenders, lessors, lessees, manufacturers and other parties in complex finance and lease transactions for aircraft, ships, and other movable assets, including financings backed by export credit agencies. She is also experienced in the registration, reflagging and deflagging of Dutch vessels.

In the area of project finance, Mei-Land has advised lenders as well as sponsors/project companies on renewable energy, infrastructure and PPP projects. In 2010 she was seconded to Rabobank (Wholesale Banking) as in-house legal counsel within the corporate finance team where she has been involved in various project finance transactions.

In trade and commodity finance transactions, Mei-Land has mainly assisted financial institutions with the structuring and the negotiation of the terms of those financings. The type of transactions varies from bilateral borrowing base facilities to syndicated loans. In 2015 she was seconded to Rabobank (Wholesale Banking & Finance) as in-house legal counsel assisting the various TCF teams.

She also regularly advises on acquisition finance, insolvency and restructuring related matters and in the past she has represented lenders as well as borrowers on a range of both domestic and cross-border (syndicated) loan transactions. The first half of 2015 Mei-Land was on secondment to ING (Commercial Banking) and as in-house counsel she provided legal advice in structured finance transactions, including acquisition finance, commodities finance and export finance deals.

Mei-Land graduated in Dutch Law, with a specialisation in Civil Law and International Law, at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. In 2012 Mei-Land finished the Grotius postgraduate course Financing and Security (Financiering en Zekerheden), which course is specifically written for lawyers actively advising on financing and security documentation and transactions.
