Biography
Nigel Dickinson is a derivatives and structured finance lawyer based in London. He has extensive experience of a broad range of capital markets transactions, with a particular focus on OTC derivatives, structured products and structured finance transactions.
Nigel's practice includes advising global investment banks, retail banks, end users and service providers on derivatives, repos and stock lending, derivative-linked debt securities, repackagings, CLOs, CDOs, structured products, commodity financing and complex liquidity, regulatory capital, accounting, tax, risk-transfer, hedging and funding transactions. Nigel also advises on the clearing of OTC derivatives, regulatory change, collateral arrangements and default management.
The "highly responsive" and "technically excellent" Nigel is ranked as a leading individual in Legal 500 UK 2024 and Chambers & Partners UK 2024 for Derivatives and Structured Products. He is noted for being "a true all-rounder in the derivatives and structured finance space" and "the best asset repackager in the market".
Prior to joining the firm, Nigel worked in the London and New York offices of another large international law firm. He studied law at Downing College at the University of Cambridge.
