Biography
Yiannis is a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer based in London. His practice focuses primarily on transport disputes in the aviation and shipping sectors.
On the aviation side, Yiannis has acted for lessors, financiers, airlines, and insurers in disputes relating to delayed delivery of aircraft, maintenance and redelivery obligations under aircraft leases, worldwide asset repossessions, loan defaults, general contractual disputes, as well as shareholder disputes.
In shipping, he acts for banks, owners, charterers, and related liability insurers in sale and purchase disputes, disputes arising from shipbuilding contracts and charterparties, as well as mortgage enforcement actions worldwide.
Yiannis has represented parties in ICC, LCIA, and LMAA arbitrations.
Whilst training with the firm, Yiannis spent a year in our asset finance teams in London and Paris where he gained experience in export credit agency financings, pre-delivery payment financings, finance and operating leases, as well as various tax based lease structures (including JOLCOs).
