  • Represented an international energy company in connection with a fire at its Baytown refinery.
  • Represented a small business against injury claims when an 18-wheeler’s brakes locked up and one of its tires exploded in close proximity to the driver.
  • Represented an international energy company in connection with a fire resulting from a line strike during horizontal directional drilling by a contractor.
  • Obtained a defense verdict on the issue of Gross Negligence in relation to a fire at an international energy company’s Baytown area chemical plant.
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of an international energy against contractors under the companies’ OCIP program that were allegedly injured by a fire at its Baytown area chemical plant.  
  • Represented an oil field production company in multiple accidents involving tractor trailers.
  • Successfully represented investors in property purchase against owner who attempted to breach purchase agreements and deprive investors of profits related to partial sale of property.  
  • Obtained dismissal and obtained attorneys’ fees on behalf of a former employee sued by his former employer for defamation under the Texas Citizens Participation Act.
  • Successfully tried two employment disputes to a verdict in federal court.
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of an international energy company against a subsequent purchaser of a mineral interest for indemnity from a legacy lawsuit after a claim was brought seeking to clean up alleged production-related contamination on the property.
  • Represented an international energy company in a bellwether trial in a 50,000-plaintiff multidistrict litigation involving alleged exposure and injuries from a complex oil refinery. The company obtained two favorable defense verdicts.
  • Represented an international energy company in connection with a fire at its Wyoming refinery.
  • Successfully represented co-owner of company when the other owners attempted to lock the co-owner out and abscond with companies’ bank accounts and re-routed incoming payments from customers.
  • Represented an international energy company in defense of an alleged exposure due to a chemical release from its oil refinery.
