Biography
Stephanie's practice focuses on patent litigation and appeals. She has represented clients in federal district courts across the country, and is experienced in day-to-day management of complex patent litigation, including development of litigation strategy, coordinating discovery and document production, taking and defending depositions, working with experts, drafting and arguing claim construction and dispositive motions, direct and cross-examination of trial witness, post-trial briefing, and mediation/settlement. Stephanie also regularly practices in the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, having briefed and argued patent appeals on behalf of a wide variety of clients.
Stephanie has represented clients in a broad range of technological fields, including wired and wireless networking, network security, telecommunications, Internet and e-commerce systems, distributed computing systems, fintech, manufacturing systems, oil and gas tools and systems, and nutritional supplements.
Before attending law school, Stephanie worked as an engineer for a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, and following law school, she served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Timothy B. Dyk of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Stephanie is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and all United States District Courts in Texas. She is also licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

While in law school, Stephanie was a member of the Texas Law Review and served as the Managing Director of the Legal Research Board. Following law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Timothy B. Dyk of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Stephanie is admitted as a patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and all United States District Courts in Texas.

- Defended major mobile chip provider in patent infringement investigation brought at the International Trade Commission; settled favorably after evidentiary hearing.
- Defended a leading financial services provider in patent litigation involving authentication technology; settled favorably shortly after the Markman hearing.
- Defended leading movie-theater companies in patent litigation involving patents related to digital rights management; settled favorably less than a month before trial.
- Defended a large computer company in patent litigation in federal district court involving patents related to power-over-ethernet technology; settled favorably a few days before trial.
- Defended a large telecommunications company in patent litigation in federal district court involving patents related to mesh-network technology; obtained a dismissal shortly before the Markman hearing.
- Defended a large telecommunications company in patent litigation in federal district court involving patents related to messaging protocols in telecommunications networks; settled favorably following the Markman hearing.
- Represented a large equipment manufacturer in patent infringement and trade secret litigation before the International Trade Commission; the team obtained a 10-year exclusion order for products utilizing the patented and trade secret technology.
- Represented e-commerce companies in appeals to the Federal Circuit from post-grant review proceedings; obtained affirmance of favorable ruling and reversal of unfavorable ruling from the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
