Two Norton Rose Fulbright partners named Notable LGBTQIA+ Leaders by Crain’s New York Business

Crain’s New York Business has named New York Co-Head of Litigation and Disputes Mark Robertson and partner Ian McClatchey to its 2024 list of Notable LGBTQIA+ Leaders.

This annual list celebrates LGBTQIA+ professionals from a range of industries in New York City who are making a major impact through their professional accomplishments, mentorship and LGBTQIA+ community involvement and advocacy.

Mark, who has been selected to this list for three consecutive years, has played a key role in many of Norton Rose Fulbright’s LGBTQIA+ initiatives. Serving as chair of the firm’s Pride Committee, he has led efforts to recruit LGBTQIA+ law students and track and increase the recruitment and retention of LGBTQIA+ lawyers. He also serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is the former Co-Chair of the New York office Pro Bono Committee.

Mark maintains a successful litigation practice representing major corporations in claims involving antitrust violations, breach of contract, violations of consumer protection statutes, breach of trade secrets and fraud. Additionally, he frequently takes pro bono cases aiding members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

As an active member of both the New York and Massachusetts legal communities, Ian has been engaged in a number of volunteer and pro bono matters, including the successful pro bono representation of LGBTQIA+ current and former members of the Army, Air Force, Navy and National Guard challenging the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act as applied to military benefits.

Ian’s corporate practice focuses on a broad range of matters, including corporate governance, corporate restructuring, transactional matters, licensing transactions, securities, strategic alliances and corporate partnering.

To reach its final list, Crain's New York consulted with trusted sources in the LGBTQIA+ and general New York City business communities. Honorees were selected for their career accomplishments as well as their broader community involvement.
