Norton Rose Fulbright recently advised International Finance Corporation (IFC) in a joint development agreement with Inobat Auto, a customized battery and technology and manufacturing company headquartered in Slovakia. Their cooperation will support Inobat’s plan to build a new electric vehicle battery factory in Central and Southeast Europe.
IFC is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets. This investment will further IFC’s aims to support Europe’s decarbonization efforts and innovative companies creating solutions to development challenges.
With this partnership, IFC will assist in the expansion of InoBat’s R&D and battery manufacturing capabilities through the co-development of an EV gigafactory in Eastern Europe that will be able to deliver EV batteries at competitive prices serving the European market in its transition to low carbon technologies
The Norton Rose Fulbright lawyer handling the deal was Jeremy Hushon (Washington, DC).
