Cross-border team advises Trane Technologies on acquisition of 100 percent of MTA from Chequers Capital

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Trane Technologies on the acquisition of 100 percent of MTA, an Italian-based manufacturer and distributor of sustainable solutions in industrial process cooling, air conditioning and air treatment.
Trane acquired MTA from international private equity firm Chequers Capital and is a long-standing client of Milan-based Corporate and M&A Partner Tiziana Del Prete.
MTA will strengthen Trane’s HVAC ability to bring efficient sustainable solutions to pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and automotive industries in key markets, by providing process chillers and an expanded rental and services business.
The multi-jurisdictional team was led by Tiziana Del Prete, Massimo Agostini and Francesco Cimmarrusti, supported by senior associate Fabrizio Zecca and associate Giuseppe Pastore for the due diligence phase; senior associate Irene Bega and associate Federico Moriconi for employment law aspects, associate Benedetta Orsini for insurance law profiles, as well as partner Gennaro Mazzuoccolo and trainee Chiara Conti for banking profiles.
