Profiles in Diversity Journal honors Norton Rose Fulbright and Katherine Tapley with Diversity Leader Award
United States | Press release - Recognition | February 2024
Norton Rose Fulbright and US Chief of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Katherine Tapley (San Antonio) have received Profiles in Diversity Journal’s annual Diversity Leader Award for the second consecutive year. The firm and Tapley are one of 10 organizations and their diversity leaders honored for their commitment to increasing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and beyond.
“Norton Rose Fulbright works daily to advance diversity, equity and inclusion through the efforts of our DEI committee, affinity groups and diversity networks,” said Tapley. “In 2023, we remained focused on strengthening these efforts, such as by expanding our women’s network initiatives by the establishment of the Women in Norton Rose Fulbright (WiN) Council, which works alongside firm management to foster growth and development opportunities for all women at the firm.”
The 16th annual Diversity Leader Awards recognize organizations and leaders internationally who have demonstrated a dedication to cultivating an inclusive culture. Through recruitment, hiring, mentoring, recognition, support and promotions, award recipients have proven DEI is a priority in their operations.
In addition to her diversity efforts at the firm, Tapley also has an active practice and extensive experience in all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, with a specific emphasis on the financing and development of multi-family projects, healthcare facilities, entertainment venues and other commercial real estate across multiple jurisdictions.
The honorees will appear in first quarter issue of Profiles in Diversity Journal, available in late March. The quarterly publication is dedicated to "promoting and advancing diversity, inclusion and equity in the corporate, government, nonprofit, STEM and higher education sectors."
