Norton Rose Fulbright honored with Equal Access to Justice Champion Award
United States | Press release - Recognition | August 2024
Norton Rose Fulbright has been honored with the Equal Access to Justice Champion Award by Houston Volunteer Lawyers (HVL), a service of the Houston Bar Association and the largest provider of pro bono legal services in Harris County and the surrounding areas.
This award recognizes HVL’s most dedicated volunteers for demonstrating constant commitment to the Houston community. Lawyers from the firm have assisted in matters involving parental guardianship rights, veteran benefits and access to housing for families.
At the start of the bar year in July 2023, Norton Rose Fulbright pledged to take on 29 pro bono cases and accepted 33 cases to date, placing the firm in a tie for seventh place among the 65 participating firms, corporate legal departments and solo practitioners.
Over the last year, Equal Access to Justice firms represented 545 individual clients with urgent legal needs and served 2,352 hours providing crucial advice to Houstonians through HVL’s legal advice clinics.
Norton Rose Fulbright routinely partners with industry and community leaders to provide pro bono services to those in need in the communities in which we work and live.
