Four Norton Rose Fulbright partners recognized as 'Best Lawyers in Dallas' by D Magazine

D Magazine named four Norton Rose Fulbright Texas partners, Paul Braden, Nate Christensen, Jay Dewald and Todd Schroeder, to the 2024 “Best Lawyers in Dallas” list.

Based on peer nominations, the annual list recognizes legal professionals who offer exceptional counsel to the people and institutions of Dallas. Nominees are vetted by the publication and reviewed by an independent panel of lawyers.

Paul serves as the firm’s US Head of Public Finance and has more than three decades of experience representing state agencies, local government entities and key underwriting firms in all matters related to the issuance of municipal debt. Acting as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriters counsel and issuer's counsel in a variety of debt issuance matters, he has represented clients in financings involving billions of dollars of debt securities.

As US Head of Healthcare Investigations, Jay focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense, crisis management, internal investigations and government investigations of whistleblower claims. A trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience and over 100 jury trials in federal and state court, he leverages his experience as a former management-level federal prosecutor for clients ranging from corporations and financial institutions to individual directors and officers.

Todd focuses his practice on a wide range of domestic and international structuring and tax planning for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and other pass-through entities. He advises on complex domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, restructurings, leveraged buyouts, private equity transactions, the tax aspects of securities offerings and opportunity zones.

Nate advises clients across a broad spectrum of complex transactions and capital structures in numerous industries, including energy, real estate, professional sports, financial services, professional services and consumer goods. He represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, family offices and other alternative asset managers, public and private companies, project developers and entrepreneurs in a range of strategic, transactional and operational matters.
