Norton Rose Fulbright advises Corporacion Andina de Fomento in US$297 million loan

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright represented Corporacion Andina de Fomento (CAF) in its collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency to extend a US$297 million syndicated loan to Banco Sicredi, a Brazilian cooperative financial institution.
The Social A/B loan will be allocated to the financing of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises led by women as well as rural producers. Resources will also be directed towards regions with a Human Development Index below the national average.
This loan marks the first of its kind executed by CAF for a Brazilian cooperative financial institution. BNP Paribas and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation acted as social loan coordinators.
