Two Norton Rose Fulbright partners inducted into 2025 Lawdragon Hall of Fame

United States Press release - Recognition January 2025

Norton Rose Fulbright partners Layne Kruse (Houston and Washington, DC) and Brian Sun (Los Angeles) have been inducted into Lawdragon’s “2025 Hall of Fame.”

The 2025 Hall of Fame, honoring 82 US lawyers, recognizes lawyers included in past Lawdragon guides who have made remarkable contributions to the law. Layne and Brian join Linda Addison (Houston and New York) and Keith Martin (Washington, DC), who received the distinction in 2019 and 2024, respectively, as the only four lawyers at the firm to receive this honor.

Layne is a trial partner for antitrust and other complex business litigation. He concentrates on antitrust and business litigation, government investigations and regulatory matters, international disputes and other business problems. Formerly Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Head of Antitrust and Competition, as well as Head of Litigation in its Houston office, Layne was the founding chair the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. Layne has also chaired Texas Appleseed and continues to serve on its board, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding solutions to justice issues in Texas.

Brian is experienced in complex business litigation, white collar criminal defense and multijurisdictional investigation matters. A Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Brian's global litigation and investigations practice covers a range of areas, including matters involving unfair competition, intellectual property, commercial bribery, public corruption, entertainment, shareholder rights, contractual disputes, fraud and cross-border issues. Brian is a co-founder and a former president of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. He also previously served as a deputy general counsel to the Christopher Commission, which recommended sweeping reforms of the Los Angeles Police Department in the wake of the Rodney King incident.
