Norton Rose Fulbright has joined the Blockchain + Legal Industry Group, an organization aimed at promoting a better understanding of how blockchain impacts the legal technology landscape, as a founding member along with fellow legal professionals, academics and technologists.
The group seeks to analyze and find solutions for legal, compliance, privacy, security and regulatory issues that corporations, law firms and other organizations face in the use of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, with the belief that addressing such issues will allow for broader blockchain and cryptocurrency adoption. It also aims to identify and support the adoption of blockchain for the digital transformation of certain legal functions and operations.
Norton Rose Fulbright's US Head of FinTech, Stephen Aschettino, serves as a representative to the group alongside other members including Epiq President Roger Pilc, Coinbase General Counsel Paul Grewal and professionals from Ava Labs, Cornell Law School, Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP, Grant Thornton LLP, IBM, Icertis and Pitney Bowes.
