Norton Rose Fulbright partner Bill Leone honored by University of Colorado Law Alumni Awards

Norton Rose Fulbright partner Bill Leone (Denver/New York) has been honored by the University of Colorado Law Alumni Board with the Distinguished Achievement in Private Practice award.

Bill graduated from University of Colorado in 1981, where he was elected to Order of the Coif.

Among his many career accomplishments, Bill served as the United States Attorney for Colorado from 2004 to 2006 and prosecuted high profile criminal cases including insider trading, criminal antitrust and related white collar matters.

At Norton Rose Fulbright, Bill maintains an active presence in Colorado and New York. His practice spans the full scope of disputes involving the interface between government and the private sector including investigations, white collar defense and trial work, securities, environmental, false claims act and related matters, including parallel civil litigation.

His recent work includes the highly publicized Dakota Access Pipeline matter, London Whale securities case in the Southern District of New York and civil and criminal corruption probes relating to the reconstruction of the electrical grid in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.

Honorees were chosen by the Law Alumni Board based on nominations submitted to the Nominations Committee. Bill is among six distinguished graduates who will be recognized at the 44th annual Colorado Law Alumni Awards Banquet on March 25, 2025 in Denver.
