Los Angeles Partners Jeffrey Margulies and Brian Sun have been named Visionaries in the Litigation category by Los Angeles Times and will be profiled in the second annual Business of Law magazine.
This honor recognizes lawyers who have exhibited exemplary achievements within their practice areas. Nominees are determined based on noteworthy success and accomplishment over the past 24 months, strong leadership roles and innovative strategies to help the firm and clients avoid risk and leverage opportunities.
Jeffrey Margulies, Los Angeles and San Francisco Partner-in-Charge, focuses his practice on litigation, compliance and regulatory issues regarding consumer products and the companies that manufacture, distribute and sell them. He defends companies in consumer class-action litigation matters relating to false advertising, product compliance and privacy issues, and has extensive litigation experience in complex commercial, consumer and personal injury litigation, including federal and state jury and bench trials and appeals. Clients appreciate his combination of subject matter expertise, decades of litigation experience and focus on their goals and needs in litigation matters.
During his almost two decades at the firm, Margulies has been a dedicated mentor to numerous associates, offering meaningful knowledge that has ultimately translated into success for his mentees. Additionally, he is a trustee and officer of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Brian Sun is experienced in complex business litigation, white collar criminal defense and multijurisdictional investigation matters. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is recognized by Chambers USA in its top tier for California: White Collar Crime and Government Investigations. Sun also previously served as a deputy general counsel to the Christopher Commission, which recommended sweeping reforms of the Los Angeles Police Department in the wake of the Rodney King incident.
Passionate about nurturing diversity, equity and inclusion in his community and at Norton Rose Fulbright, Sun is a co-founder of the Alliance for Asian American Justice, which provides pro bono legal services to victims of anti-Asian hate and has now grown to include over 90 large law firms located in every major metropolis in the country. He is also a co-founder and a former president of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA).
