2nd Circuit defers to executive will on application of sovereign immunity
The Second Circuit recently held that federal common law protections of sovereign immunity did not preclude prosecution of a state-owned foreign corporation.

Federal OSHA has announced an October 13, 2021 virtual meeting to obtain public comments on certain issues raised by its Whistleblower Protection Program. The meeting will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET via telephone and Microsoft Teams. Those interested in participating in the meeting may register free of charge in English or Spanish by October 6, 2021.
