1L Students
We are seeking to hire first-year JD students to join our 2025 Summer Associate Program in Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, St. Louis and Washington, D.C. Our program offers summer associates a realistic introduction to the practice of law and day-to-day life as a Norton Rose Fulbright associate. Interested applicants should apply online.

We partner with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (“LCLD”) 1L Scholars program. 1L students interested in being considered for the 1L Scholars program should indicate their interest in the program in their cover letter. More information can be found on the LCLD website.
Candidates may apply to a maximum of three different office locations and/or positions. If you are interested in more than one office location or position, apply to your top choice and indicate your other interests in the open text box on the application. You may address your cover letter to the appropriate entry-level recruiting contact based on your first office preference.
For 1L students in the 2024 – 2025 academic year, applications must be received by January 31, 2025. Diversity Fellowship applications must be received by December 31, 2025. Upon receipt of first semester law school grades, please upload a copy of your law school transcript to the application portal or email the appropriate entry-level recruiting contact. Selected applicants will be contacted on a rolling basis to arrange for interviews.

1L IP Technology Transactions Summer Associate (Austin, Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, St. Louis)
We are seeking to hire first year JD students interested in our IP Technology Transactions practice, in our Intellectual Property group. The candidate will spend their summer in the Austin, Dallas, Houston Minneapolis or St. Louis office. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent communication and writing skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. 1L Intellectual Property Summer Associate (Austin, Chicago, Dallas or Houston)
We are seeking to hire first-year JD students interested in our Intellectual Property Disputes or Patent Prosecution practices in our Texas (Austin, Chicago, Dallas, or Houston) offices. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent communication and writing skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. Candidates must be eligible to sit for the patent bar, requiring a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or Doctor of Philosophy Degree in a recognized technical subject. 1L Projects Summer Associate (New York)
We are seeking to hire a first-year JD student interested in our Projects practice in our Texas (Austin, Dallas, or Houston) and New York offices. Students should have a background or identifiable interest in renewable energy, project development, or project finance. Collaborating across our global team, we act on some of the most innovative, complex and challenging projects in the world.
