Focus on LGBTIQ+
Welcome to PRIDE at Norton Rose Fulbright
PRIDE is a network of LGBTIQ+ personnel and their Allies at Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP that aims to create an inclusive environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer employees as well as to develop relationships with client networks and the wider LGBTIQ+ community.
Our objectives
- Creating a more inclusive and accepting environment for LGBTIQ+ individuals
- Engaging Allies of the LGBTIQ+ community
- Encouraging the recruitment, retention, advancement, and professional development of LGBTIQ+ talent
- Supporting the practice’s business by developing contacts with clients who are members of the LGBTIQ+ community
- Providing opportunities to participate in volunteering and pro bono initiatives that support the LGBTIQ+ community
- Providing guidance to management on the development and implementation of LGBTIQ+ inclusive policies
- Creating a dynamic LGBTIQ+ community in the practice
Leadership
The co-chairs of the Pride Network are Mark A. Robertson (New York) and Denton Nichols (Houston). The vice chair Rachel Rosenfeld (Washington, DC).
Initiatives and activities
Our initiatives and activities focus on promoting our mission and objectives in several key areas, including:
Social and professional development
- Holding meetings and other networking opportunities through which members of Pride at Norton Rose Fulbright get to know each other
- Organizing annual firm-wide and office specific LGBTIQ+ educational events to engage Allies
Recruiting
- Organizing firm-wide and office-specific events for LGBTIQ+ summer associates
Community outreach
- Partnering with clients and local organizations to provide pro bono and other community services for underserved minority communities in the cities where we work
- Participating in and sponsoring initiatives and activities of LGBTIQ+ organizations
