Biography
Jennifer Nault practises employment and labour law. She advises employers and represents them before various administrative and civil tribunals on collective and individual labour relations.
She focuses more particularly on matters regarding interpreting and applying collective agreements, labour standards, employment termination, the certification process, labour conflicts, privacy, human rights and freedoms, workplace discrimination, as well as non-competition and non-solicitation covenants. She also advises on issues concerning unionized and non-unionized labour in connection with mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructurings.
Jennifer represents employers before the relevant labour law forums, in particular the Administrative Labour Tribunal, grievance arbitrators, the Human Rights Tribunal and courts of law.

Prior to joining us, Jennifer headed an in-house legal department in labour and employment law in a large international aerospace company. In her role, she represented the company before various administrative labour and employment tribunals in Quebec and Ontario. She has also taken part in several strategic human resource cases concerning a number of mergers and acquisitions, both in Quebec and internationally, in order to advise her clients on labour and employment law aspects. She was also invited to give many training sessions on labour and employment law as well as on ethics and compliance in various company locations around the world.
Previously, Jennifer represented and advised many employers in the municipal sector on collective and individual labour relations and occupational health and safety cases. For several years, she also represented a major police force regarding several disputes arising from pressure tactics before the Administrative Labour Tribunal in the context of arbitration cases and other matters brought before the courts.
