Biography
James Dunnett is a banking lawyer based in London. He focuses on acquisition finance, corporate debt and restructuring.
James acts for banks, funds, sponsors, financial institutions and corporates on both domestic and cross-border leveraged buy-outs, bid financings, structured loans and restructurings. He has considerable experience in structuring financings in jurisdictions which are challenging for creditors and in emerging markets. James has acted for both borrowers and creditors on unitranche, super senior and mezzanine financings and has been involved in several successful mezzanine restructurings. In his time at the firm he has also developed significant expertise in advising on the debt aspects of public M&A transactions and on corporate loans for listed entities.
James joined the London practice in 1997 and became a partner in 2005.
