Climate risk governance regulations laid before Parliament

The DWP has laid before Parliament amending regulations that will require trustees to calculate and disclose a metric describing the extent to which their scheme’s investments are aligned with the goal set out in the Paris Agreement of limiting the increase in global average temperature to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
The Occupational Pension Schemes (Climate Change Governance and Reporting) (Amendment, Modification and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2022 come into force on October 1, 2022.
