Paris team advises Saint-Gobain in the framework of a Power Purchase Agreement with Alpiq Energie France

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Saint-Gobain in the negotiation and the signing of a 14-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Alpiq Energie France.

Saint-Gobain, a world leader in sustainable construction, designs, produces and distributes materials and services for the housing and industrial markets. Thanks to the signature of this PPA, Saint-Gobain will benefit from the supply of more than 500 GWh of electricity, enabling 11 French factories to be powered 100% by solar energy.

This contract, signed with Alpiq Energie France, key supplier of electricity and gas to large industrial consumers, comes on top of two other PPAs. Together, the three projects should reduce Saint-Gobain's scope 2 emissions by almost 10% compared with 2017.

The Paris team was led by global Co-head of energy Partner, Anne Lapierre.
