Biography
Carla Akuamoah Antelo is a derivatives and structured finance lawyer based in London.
Carla advises global investment banks, retail banks and corporates on conventional and Islamic OTC derivatives, structured products and structured finance transactions. Carla has experience advising on and negotiating ISDA, ICMA, IIFM and SAMA master agreements in addition to working on bespoke prime brokerage, collateralised murabaha and other documentation. Carla regularly acts for both buy and sell-side on the hedging aspects of large-scale financings in addition to advising on loan repackagings and structured note issuances.
Prior to joining the firm, Carla trained at and practiced in the Structured Finance (Derivatives) practice of another large international law firm and completed a secondment at a leading investment bank.

Carla is a frequent panellist at Aspiring Solicitors, Race for Change and other diversity and recruitment events, and co-led her previous firm's "Commercial Café" initiative, organising round table discussions between firm volunteers and students.
