Biography
Shazi Askarpour is a corporate lawyer based in Dubai.
Shazi has worked in the region for over ten years. Her practice focuses on advising a number of sovereign wealth funds on their strategic multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions.
Shazi also advises both regional and international companies on corporate transactions including joint ventures, corporate finance, private equity and general corporate advisory work in a number of different sectors.

- Aramex, a leading listed logistics provider - on the disposal of a multi-jurisdictional part of its group by way of a competitive auction process.*
- MESC Investments PSC - and its shareholders (including Dubai Islamic Bank) on the sale of MESC's 52 percent equity stake in Jordan Dubai Islamic Bank PLC, an Islamic financial institution listed on the Amman Stock Exchange, to a consortium led by Bank Al Etihad PLC.*
