Biography
Iris Heins is a candidate civil law notary (kandidaat-notaris) based in Amsterdam. She specialises in corporate law, focusing primarily on (cross border) mergers and acquisitions, and international reorganisations. She works on a wide range of national and international corporate matters, including loans, investments, real estate funds and securities, corporate restructurings and transactions, (international) corporate restructurings, disposals, joint ventures, private equity financings and corporate governance.
Alongside Iris' corporate experience, her work consists of providing legal advice on real estate matters, such as the (de)registration of (inland and sea-going) vessels and aircraft, the vesting of securities and appropriate vesting of land right(s) and encumbrances.
She works with large multinationals, both domestic and international, as well as start-ups and not-for-profit organisations.
Iris is a native Dutch speaker and is fluent in English. She completed her master's degree Notarial Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2022 and is in the process of achieving her post graduate notarial education (beroepsopleiding notariaat).
