Biography
Angélica Alvarez joined Norton Rose Fulbright's Mexico City office as an associate in 2019. As a member of the energy projects team, she advises national and international oil companies for the development of upstream and midstream projects.
Angélica has experience with the drafting and legal analysis of exploration and production contracts, farm-outs, services and joint operating agreements, and she has advised oil and gas companies on their anti-bribery obligations under the Mexican regulation. She has also provided legal advice on administrative and environmental aspects of the oil and gas industry including bidding rounds, permits and authorizations before governmental authorities, and due diligence.
Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright, she worked for another major firm in Mexico and for the country's Ministry of Energy.
