Nikki Hildebrand
Biography
Nikki Hildebrand, a partner with our private wealth, trusts and estates team, concentrates on estate planning, trusts and incapacity matters, with a focus on family business succession planning and corporate reorganizations. She has a deep understanding of complex estate planning and works with clients and their advisors to develop and implement comprehensive and tailored estate plans that meet each family’s unique circumstances and needs, including the preparation of wills, powers of attorney and healthcare representation agreements and the documentation required to establish and fund discretionary family trusts, alter ego trusts, joint partner trusts and other trust structures.
Nikki also advises executors, trustees and financial institutions on estate and trust administration. This includes preparing applications for grants of probate and administration and assisting with interpretation issues and questions relating to the duties and powers of executors and trustees and rights of beneficiaries.
As an active member of the legal community, Nikki currently serves on the Executive of the Canadian Bar Association British Columbia – Vancouver Wills and Trusts subsection. Nikki has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada with respect to trust and estate planning and is a regular lecturer with CLEBC, having authored a number of articles and publications on estate planning.
