Biography
Simon Gollish is a results-driven litigation lawyer, acting in a variety of commercial, insurance and regulatory matters. Simon assists clients with their litigation needs by negotiating, mediating, arbitrating and litigating disputes. His practical approach to disputes balances fierce advocacy with realistic advice, allowing clients to effectively assess their options and make choices that suit their situations.
Simon has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. Simon proudly represents clients in both English and French.
His commercial practice includes real property, construction and business disputes, while his defence-orientated insurance practice includes professional negligence, product liability, property, and personal injury.
Simon’s regulatory and administrative work includes both active disputes and advisory work, assisting clients in responding to investigations, improving compliance, and representing them in court. Simon has advised and represented clients in relation to their obligations under the Official Languages Act and the Access to Information Act. Further, Simon regularly advises clients on their lobbying reporting obligations in jurisdictions across the country.
