Capital Markets Union (CMU) aims to unify capital markets across Europe’s 28 Member States. From now through 2019, the European Commission is releasing new regulations and studies affecting every area of capital markets and everyone across the globe with business interests in Europe, including banks, funds, insurers, pension funds, infrastructure projects, SMEs, credit rating agencies, multilateral development and retail investors. We are tracking this every step of the way, explaining CMU initiatives and providing context on the day it’s needed.

Will CMU still be relevant to the UK as a result of Brexit? We think so (at least in the short to medium term). Read our in-depth analysis on the effects of Brexit on CMU.
