The Regulator has updated its Dealing with transfer requests guidance to clarify that where members are required to attend a guidance session with the MoneyHelper service, they must book a “pensions safeguarding appointment” at this link, rather than any other type of appointment.

MoneyHelper guidance is mandatory where an amber flag is raised in relation to a statutory transfer, and trustees should direct members to the safeguarding appointment link where it is required.
